- The parade of the camels begins from the Junagarh Fort and proceeds to the Polo Ground of Bikaner.

- The camels are made to dance and perform as per the instructions of the trainer. Care is taken not to overwork or torture the animals for the entertainment.
- Various competitions related to camels are held, whereby the owner of camels with the finest hair, the best milk, training and grooming are rewarded. Also camel races are held, a tradition, which is very old.
